Cambodia 2014

During summer 2014, I had the privilege to travel around Cambodia and really assimilate the culture and tradition. In 2 weeks, I travelled to Phnom Penh, Kampong Cham, Battambang (Rattinak), Poipet, and Siem Reap. As I am part of the organization TASSEL, which stands for "Teaching and Sharing Skills to Enrich Lives" we taught English to hundreds of needy children while simultaneously leaning about why the country is so corrupt. Along the invaluable journey, I was able to make special bonds with local Cambodian teacher who struggle to learn English themselves, and of course with children bursting with energy and exuberance. Cambodia in general was such a beautiful country with beautiful people, and truly deserves to be saved from the corrupt nature of the government. I will forever treasure my memories made at Cambodia, and these photographs always evoke such a sentimental bittersweet emotion within me.
